I don’t know what’s wrong with this guy!
He comes over daily and just peeks in our windows hoping for a handout. He hangs around trees a lot, and eats our strawberries in the garden, and our blueberries- he runs all over the place and even gets into the cat food that my Human leaves out for my Mama (cat) to eat. He’s always there early in the morning– every morning– and he’s always digging around all over the place.
I’ve even seen him run out in the street in front of cars, and it’s amazing the dude is still alive. He’s rather twitchy, too- and always chattering. And he never seems to get enough to eat! And he even chews us out when he doesn’t get what he wants!
I’ve even seen him “planting” random things in people’s yards around here- but nobody seems to mind.
I have to say, If I didn’t know better, I’d think he was a little- well, squirrelly.

😹
At least you only have one! When the acorns on my tree ripen, a whole hoard of them rush in and steal my nuts!!!!! Purrseidon, who is terrified of squirrels.

Well, I think he has friends- but he’s so territorial, he won’t let other squirrels come here! I guess that’s good- but I sure like chasing them.

Rumble loves to chase them, too and he’s continually getting into trouble for it because once he’s on a chase, he doesn’t think about yard rules – stay in our yard, don’t jump the fence, don’t leap onto the roof and race over the house…. He generally spends half the week grounded.

We have raccoons…They are bigger and more confrontational. Be happy you only have this guy. (Possums are shyer and not too bad.)

Oh, we get raccoons sometimes too- (there’s a Mama raccoon that shows up every year with about 5 babies bigger than I am, and an attitude bigger than Texas)! Mom doesn’t argue with her!

They are- the Can Opener opened the back door to let Twilight out this, and the little rascal was right at our back door! You should’ve seen Twilight FREEZE in her tracks!!! Her eyes were huge! But the squirrel was faster (so was the Can Opener)!😹

I didn’t know your mama is outside. Is she fixed? Did she not want to live with you? XO

Yes she is fixed- but even though she trusts my human enough to let her get close enough to put a dish of food in front of her, she is too afraid (still) to come inside or let Mom touch her. That’s because the guy next door took her and her kittens (me included) and put us all in a pet carrier when we were little and wouldn’t let us out. My human let us out- so she trusts my human but nobody else.

He’s very cute. And brave if he’s not afraid of Mama Cat

She usually comes around after he’s gone to his tree for the night. She’s very cautious.

That’s a cute red squirrel…but…they are naughty little critters. the grey or black ones are rather more well behaved.
They’re fun to watch, though, and their antics can be hilarious! You can almost see them thinking when they are trying to figure out a way to get at something they are not supposed to have.
Hope your Mama Cat won’t get deprived of her noms…

I love watching them- but my Can Opener won’t let me chase them. She’s such a killjoy!
