It’s Monday again- and my post is late.
Of course, it’s the Can Opener’s fault- she’s still not feeling back to normal yet- so she slept in, in spite of Sushi’s and my insistence that she get up and play with us. So since she wasn’t entertaining us, I got on her computer to find some Monday memes to entertain myself with. I sure hope she doesn’t find out about my purchase from petco…
Does your cat get suddenly aggressive? Do what my Can Opener did and watch this video- You’ll learn some reasons why it could be happening. Your cat will appreciate it.
Yes- You read that right. Coffee @ 5pm.
It’s been that kind of week. My human dad is starting to finally get better. But I don’t like that our Can Opener has been so busy. Up late at night, and not playing with us very much. She still snuggles and grooms us and spoils us- she just doesn’t have the time and energy to play much. I think they call that stress.
We had some bomb cyclones here -(which our humans had never heard of before)- and Holy Freaking Cat Whiskers! It rained so HARD and the trees were blowing everything around and it was making an awful lot of noise. We thought the rain would never end- and Twilight was going nuts because she’s not used to staying inside so much. Didn’t bother me, though- I just settle down on the Can Opener’s lap and take a longer nap.
We were lucky, though- we pretty much just got slammed with heavy winds, and rain- tons of rain! Other parts of the Northwest weren’t so lucky.
We are also hearing helicopters flying over head every.single.night! Over and over again and things are just weird.
Leaves swirling around everywhere is a beautiful thing to watch- but the rain was so hard and fast, the Can Opener couldn’t get very many pictures.
Our Human fixed up a dry, cozy spot for Twilight’s Mama who faithfully comes around every night to get her dinner and play with Twilight. She is cozy, dry and warm even in the middle of it.
Yep. That perfectly describes today.
I tried to go out first thing when the Can Opener woke up. But it was soaking wet, and cold outside, and the rain was still pounding. I had a change of heart. Sushi was occupying the Can Opener’s lap, so I knew she wouldn’t play with me, and the Backup Can Opener is still not feeling well, so I kicked my golf ball around a little, shredded some toilet paper, then ate, and decided to take a nap.
The sun came out for a little bit later, so I went outside- but soon the heavy clouds gathered overhead and blocked out my sunshine and I got RAINED ON! I kept waiting for the rain to stop – but it obviously had no plans of stopping, so I ran in to get sympathy from the Can Opener, then helped her in the kitchen -(I have to snoopervise)- and I was the first to taste her yummy coconut flour blueberry/banana muffins-(except she wouldn’t let me have any of the chocolate chips). That sure was a tasty muffin!! I hope she doesn’t notice the accidental scratches I put on her new muffin pan while I was trying to snatch that muffin…
I don’t think she noticed. She was too busy working on the muffins, cleaning up, taking care of the Backup Can Opener (fever goes away, then keeps coming back)- then cooking, and doing other random stuff.
I know I don’t have to worry about Sushi telling on me, because she slept through the whole thing. Now that it’s pouring rain even harder, I think I’ll go back outside just to keep the Can Opener wondering what the heck I’m doing. I can’t let her think she has me figured out, you know.
What does that have to do with typing for us?
So our human dad has been sick since Wednesday, and our human has been busy trying to keep his fever down, and keep him comfortable. We don’t have a problem with that, because that’s just what she does. But she normally takes dictation for us too, and last night, she said she just couldn’t take the time.
What?? But THAT’S WHY WE KEEP YOU AROUND, HUMAN! Well, that and feeding us, dispensing treats, and of course, cleaning the litterbox, grooming us, delivering pets and cuddles on demand, let’s not forget providing flea treatment, and playtime on demand.
We are tempted to fire her, but that wouldn’t do any good because she’d never leave. And the backup human is still feeling lousy, so he wouldn’t even notice us. Great.
Meanwhile, psycho Twilight continues to plague me by coming over when I’m sleeping (I’m not even getting my usual 20 hours now)- and grooming me sweetly, then POUNCING on me trying to make me play!!
See? How rude. Anybody wanna buy a psychotic lynx point siamese?
Here’s some therapy for you too. Humans are needing some laughs and comfort lately.
Whoever is reading this, know you are valued- you are loved. We are praying for you.
Well, not me and Sushi- but the humans are.
Fortunately for me I came inside just in time…
To prevent the human from putting clean sheets on my bed. I had everything rumpled up just the way I like it, and she had the nerve to take advantage of my outdoor escapades to rip the sheets off and start opening windows to “let in some fresh *freezing* air.”
What the heck is wrong with you humans? It’s raining! Time to run and hide under a bush someplace, but wait- it’s WET! Then, I charge inside dripping wet and dart for the nice, warm bed, and all my cozy, rumpled sheets and blankets are gone- being drowned in the washer.
She had a folded set of clean sheets in her hands when she came back into the bedroom to finish carrying out her dastardly deed, but luckily I was able to hop on top of the comforter she had draped across the end of the bed, to let the water drain off my paws. I gave her a look that told her not to mess with me, so she finally decided the sheets could wait, and I got a good nap.
I think I’m going to send that weatherman a big, fat hairball.
You know, I think I’m the Cutest Siamese Ever!
*Don’t tell Sushi*
Rain, Rain, and More Rain.
I can’t play outside unless I want a shower- and from the looks of it, If this keeps up, I’ll need to swim! But I am (sort of) thankful for the rain. Because now there’s no more wildfire smoke choking out my air and making my fur smell like awful.
And, it does keep my grass beautifully soft and green, and makes it grow better so I have plenty of places to lurk around waiting for Sheba to saunter by so I can jump out and scare the whiskers off her!!!
I’m also thankful that The Can Opener is making Sushi exercise every day- but I think she gets more of a workout sharpening her claws on the mat, than she does playing and constantly trying to follow her food dish until the human sets it down.
I need it to stop raining though- even though the humans love it- because the little Critters will be here tomorrow, and if it’s raining, and they’re stuck inside, and I’m stuck inside, it’s not going to be good…..I just may be tempted to get micheivious…just sayin.’
