It’s been a while since you’ve had some Twilight therapy-
What’s more therapeutic than cats?
There’s a reason we cats have taken over the internet (and the world)! We are adorable, cute, funny, full of purr-sonality, great for insomnia, great for stress relief, great exterminators (delicious!), and we not only can be trained, but we actually train our humans! Yep, that’s right.
But, did I also mention that we’re loving and sweet and cute?? Here’s adorable little me being cute…
Taking over the desk chair to force my Can Opener away from the computer (demanding playtime).
Wiped out after playing kitty golf with the Can Opener last night.
Here I am not only being cute but being sweet- grooming Sushi to console her after the Can Opener put medicine in her eyes. (Also helping her secretly plot revenge).
Oops- caught in the act! Hey, at least I didn’t pounce on her afterwards – (THIS time)! 😹
Okay, I guess Sushi is cute too- that is if you’re into crazy cats …
I think Sushi gets a little too excited about her grooming…Sometimes she gets a little- well, STRESSED.
I don’t care what she says, I didn’t do anything. Would I lie to you? Look at this face!
MOM! SUSHI HIT ME! SHE NEEDS THERAPY!
“Oh my fleas! Mom, I hope that vet visit for Sushi includes some therapy- she has some real anger issues! All I did was jump down from the top of the desk and WHAM! SHE SMACKED POOR, INNOCENT LITTLE ME!”
No mom. I recorded it- here’s what happened!
I was sleeping all cozy when you got up from the desk …
And Twilight watched you leave the room and then…
See, Mom? Twilight is the one that needs therapy! I’m sure glad I figured out how to use your phone!
“Gotta go, MOM! There’s a bird I have to catch!” (Twilight)
Grief Counseling today made the Can Opener feel better. Now I need therapy!
Now that the human is starting to feel more like herself, Sushi and I are getting nervous. Now she might start thinking about things other than preparing for the upcoming Celebration of life- and start thinking more about other things… like taking Sushi and me to the vet! Or, clipping my claws, or re-arranging the house -(again)- or buying the wrong cat food- or worse yet, VACUUMMING!
That’s what she did yesterday – (conveniently right after I settled in for a nice, long, nap). She moved everything out and vacuumed everything in the house! Moving out couches, chairs, the Critter’s toys, the entire house, and even the cat tree!! Now it’s polluted! The worst part is, every time she turned it off for a little bit, and I started to relax, she turned it on again!
Two hours later, my nerves were shot, Sushi was still asleep, and the human was just getting started. I told her to cut it out because she’s seriously messing up my life and making me look bad to the other cats in the neighborhood- Lucky for me, she was hungry, so she finally put the electronic beast away and gave it a rest. But my nerves were shot for the rest of the day and I couldn’t find the catnip anywhere. I think she’s secretly trying to kill me to save on cat food.
I’m not bored, I’m sleepy- and you’re keeping me awake.
The Back up Can Opener went two days with no fever, but now it’s back. And our Mom isn’t feeling like her usual self, either- but she doesn’t have a fever. She’s still taking care of everyone- so prayers would be appreciated.
Sushi and I are trying to cheer them up- and get them back to normal, and they say laughter is good medicine, so Sushi and I are posting some memes to make them laugh. We would be playing nurse, but we’re much more interested in our usual play sessions- which aren’t happening. So, maybe this, and all the green tea and lemons and strawberries they’re having will help them get back to normal. Enjoy!
