Friday Fab Felines

I don’t care what Twilight says- I still say I’m the most fab feline you’ll ever see. But, just to humor Twilight, we’ll take a look at some others too!

Some fab felines to make you smile!

💚💚💚Happy Friday! 💚💚💚

A Very Strange Neighbor

I really don’t know what to think!

I don’t know what’s wrong with this guy!

He comes over daily and just peeks in our windows hoping for a handout. He hangs around trees a lot, and eats our strawberries in the garden, and our blueberries- he runs all over the place and even gets into the cat food that my Human leaves out for my Mama (cat) to eat. He’s always there early in the morning– every morning– and he’s always digging around all over the place.

I’ve even seen him run out in the street in front of cars, and it’s amazing the dude is still alive. He’s rather twitchy, too- and always chattering. And he never seems to get enough to eat! And he even chews us out when he doesn’t get what he wants!

I’ve even seen him “planting” random things in people’s yards around here- but nobody seems to mind.

I have to say, If I didn’t know better, I’d think he was a little- well, squirrelly.

I think he’s the strangest neighbor around here!

Twilight’s Tuesday Musings

I haven’t posted for a few days because I’ve been busy helping the Can Opener.

I’ve been working as the heating pad

It’s hard being a working cat. Since the Can Opener provided hospice care for the Backup Can Opener until he passed in January, she was spending a lot of time running around the hospital and staying there a lot and wasn’t able to keep up with her previous regular workout schedule. As a result, she’s now having some ligament problems and back pain and needed a heating pad to relieve the pain. So, since she likes me a lot better than the heating pad (and she doesn’t need a place to plug me in)- she put me to work and man, have I been busy! *sweats*

This lady is really cramping my style! Just LOOK AT THOSE BIG, FAT DUCKS!

I kept trying to get up and run off at first- because I’m a serious cat. I have ducks and mice to catch, dragonflies to chase, and stray cats to run off! Did she care? No! I was so irritated – especially when I could see the neighbor next door feeding the 30 or so ducks that come to the fence for the bread, he tosses to them.

I told her to use Sushi instead- she’s a queen-size heating pad whose content to lay like a stone for hours, anyway- but the Can Opener just gave me the uplifted eyebrow (uh-oh)- and just stared at me for a minute and then I realized…that’s why I was the one chosen. The Can Opener is hurting enough without a 16-pound speed bump laying on her knees.

(The huge bag of treats sitting next to her really had nothing to do with my decision to give her a break and be her heating pad, just so you know)!

Whew! I’m finally off for the day- time to go DUCK HUNTING!

Don’t miss your doctor appointments, human- I’ve got business to tend to!

I need to go turn those ducks right side up, Mom.

Sunday “Peace Treaty”

On Friday, Twilight and I had a discussion.

It didn’t go very well.

We fought over the Tiny Human. It started with The Tiny One wanting to play with me with my new wand toy. But Twilight decided she wanted the Tiny One all to herself…

Every time the Tiny One started to come to me, Twilight got to her first, and started asking the Tiny One to play with her. I got mad. So, we decided to have a saucer of milk together and talk about it like adult cats.

That saucer of milk never happened. The “talk” did. It went like this;

After careful consideration, Twilight decided she’d rather go outside and play, so she did.

Meanwhile, while she went outside, I made a point of letting the Tiny One know I would love to play with her while Twilight was out. I’d even be helpful and take care of any stray treats she had laying around someplace neglected and forgotten. I knew the Tiny One is very conscientious and would want to help keep things clean, so I felt it would be rude to not offer my assistance. She agreed.

Thirty or so treats later, she decided we’d rather play than tidy up, and I agreed, since the chicken bites were looking almost empty.

The problem with the Tiny One playing with me though, is that her attention is too easily diverted to the swingset in the backyard. Pretty soon, she ditched me to go outside and play with the Can Opener and her sister. And the Human’s sister gave the little One a monkey to play with. And then, right after that, Sheba came out to play with her and her monkey. Just my luck!

I decided to take my nap- but Twilight had come in and took MY SPOT! *sigh*

She feels no guilt at all.
