We just want to know one thing…

Hey- Maybe our followers will know!!

Where can we buy a cheap pair of thumbs?

Sushi and I have decided to stop waiting on the Can Opener to feed us, and to take matters into our own paws. Our cousin, Serafina, gave us the idea. A couple of days ago, the Critters’ parents ran out of dry cat food and borrowed some of ours. The big Critter forgot to take it into the kitchen when she got home from being at our house, and Serafina decided she wasn’t going to wait for feeding time. See for yourself!

What a great idea!
No wonder Serafina always looks so happy!

Last week, the Can Opener had a mystery surprise delivered and she couldn’t figure out why she got it- she hadn’t ordered anything- but when we opened it, and we loved it! It turns out, it was from one of the grown Critters that came from out of town when the Backup Can Opener went to heaven… and we knew right away it was for us!

Our Can Opener was so happy! She smiled bigger than we’ve seen her smile in WEEKS!

And of course, Sushi tried to claim it for herselfbut that’s okay- as much as she sleeps, I don’t have to worry about it.

The Can Opener’s grown Critters are really sweet- when they came to help her care for the Backup Can Opener, they took turns caring for him at night so she could rest. They took her out to eat while their hubbies stayed with him because she was too stressed to even remember to eat. Now she’s worried about gaining weight! Anyway, they got her through it, and made things so much easier for her because she didn’t feel alone. And besides, she loves them and hadn’t seen them for a long time.

They brought gifts for her – and COFFEE- and new coffee mugs- and that made her smile too. And they sat around the hospital bed talking about their favorite memories of him. It’s amazing the difference a loving family makes at a time like that. They even thought about us kitties- and the Critters’ Dad, even said he would take over feeding Sushi and Me (and giving Sushi her medicine)- so Mom didn’t have to worry about forgetting to feed us.

But they’re gone back to their homes now- so Sushi and I aren’t playing games. We’re going to find ourselves some thumbs so we can open our own cans!

That’s my Can Opener!

Sushi’s Sunday Message

I had catnip and a long play session!

Yesterday was a fun-filled day!

It was a very happy day for the Can Opener. The Critters’ Mom is her daughter and she doesn’t get to see her very often, so yesterday morning she had hardly finished a cup of coffee when she was surprised by the little Critters and their parents suddenly appearing at their door loaded with goodies they had brought to make breakfast for them and spend the day visiting!

Our Can Opener has been dealing with a ton of stress lately – (the Critters’ parents also)- and they have always been close and constantly in touch. But while texts, calls and marco polos are great, they can’t take the place of sitting down face to face with coffee in relaxed conversation, and just enjoying being together and watching the Critters play as they talk about their day to day lives, their workouts, and current events.

Family is important. Family bonds are important- and are critically important for healthy well-balanced children. But it’s also important to take the time to do things that will bring joy and relief to your loved ones. With all the things going on in our nation over the last year and a half, everyone is feeling unsettled- and downright betrayed by our own so-called leaders, who frankly are only good at “leading” our nation over a cliff.

During times like these, realize that when you are feeling discouraged, or alone, many others are too. Even if it isn’t being discussed, everyone is feeling wearied and betrayed by our own leaders. Please take the time to connect with your families and friends. And this is not the time to be battling your families. Don’t let anger, bitterness and unforgiveness settle in your hearts and divide your families. The government is doing a wonderful job of that without your help.

Remember how much they meant to you before Coronavirus was ever heard of- before all this madness started and everyone began to collectively lose their minds. Remember who you were before all this. Remember how important your loved ones were to you then.

Your loved ones could be lost at any moment in all this nonsense because people seem to forget that regardless of the color of our skin, our ethnicity, our religion, or who we voted for- we all have something in common. We are HUMAN BEINGS, and we all deserve respect, honor and consideration. Most of all, we are all Americans. This is the time to stand together as one and not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Remember, there will always be evil and darkness in this world around you- but you don’t have to let it get IN your heart, and take over your thoughts.

Also remember, that when you feel anxious or discouraged, your pets feel it also.

A Purrfect Critter Christmas

Just you wait, Humans…

Well, our Christmas was cold and the Can Opener left us locked up prisoners in the house the whole flipping day. We were a little miffed- but we realized it wouldn’t do us any good anyway, because the turkeys took off to be with the grown critters and the itty bitty ones for Christmas.

So we decided to save our pouting and revenge for when they got back since they couldn’t see us giving them the evil-eye anyway, and we needed to save our energy for our purrfect plot. Way to spoil a cat’s Christmas! *grumble*

You’re gonna pay Can Opener…
You’d better come home loaded with treats. Just sayin’

They left early and had the nerve to stay out until long after dark. They had the neighbor come over and check on us and give us food, and they left Cat TV on for us- but we still weren’t happy, because she didn’t serve us our whipped cream tower, or treats, and she even served me in Sushi’s dish! I can’t eat out of HER dish! I’ll get Sushi cooties! And, she fed Sushi in MY DISH!! DISGUUUUUUUSSSTING!!!!! *coughs up hairball*

And when they came home they smelled like the critters and SERAFINA AND ABBY! They were loving on them when they should’ve been home spoiling us!

Here- take a look at the EVIDENCE we found on the human’s phone!!

Serafina took over the Little Critter’s chair
Abby took over the gaming lounger they bought for the Big Critter!
And Serafina left HER SCENT all over the Can Opener’s Christmas present! That’s OUR JOB!

And then there were all these pictures of the Critters and their gifts….

Well, all this evidence means Sushi and I have a lot of work to do to retrain this Can Opener. Great. I’m getting busy! Hope you all had a peaceful, healthy Christmas- and Happy kitties!
