Easter Joy -(Until the cat gets a bath).

A morning to rejoice and Worship the Resurrected King!

Easter surprises to wake up to- (cat included)!

Happy Easter from Twilight and Sushi & Can Openers!

Then off to church to worship the Lord!

Everyone was so happy it’s Easter! No matter how bad things look- there is Hope because our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ ISN’T DEAD ANYMORE! He’s ALIVE! And with Spring comes new life, new blossoming, and new hope.

To the little ones, it’s all about candy, seeing their friends at church (or anywhere they can), Easter egg hunts, new clothes- and the Easter Bunny.

I have to say though, If I’d seen that bunny hopping around in my yard, the last thing on my mind would be eggs- Easter or not! Sushi and I were having a great morning- it’s warmer (than 30 degrees finally), and sunny and everything’s blossoming.

Everyone’s happy and I went out to harass the ducks and birds that were putting on a concert for me this morning, and after being outside for most of the morning getting into all kinds of cat mischief, I came in, and settled down on top of the desk right under the heater for a nice, long, nap.

Then things changed.

The Can Opener decided this was a great time to surprise me with plopping me in the kitchen sink and dousing me with water and shampooing me with this “Shed Control” shampoo! *tail FLAP!*

I’m so thankful she couldn’t take pictures !

I made it clear I was not in the mood for a bath, but she didn’t listen. I should’ve known she was up to something when she sneaked up and trimmed my claws while I was half asleep. Oh, she tried to take pictures, but she figured out pretty quickly that snapping pictures with one hand and holding a lathered up wet (struggling) cat with the other hand probably wasn’t a good idea.

She kept saying the shampoo would help me not shed so bad. I have a feeling she’s going to be shedding pretty soon!

I didn’t like the idea at all- but afterward, she loaded me up with treats and put me in a cozy spot under the heater, and when I finally dried off I got to go back out and finish with my mischievious plans while the sun was still out. By this time it was warmer out- so I did what any cat in their right mind would do, and I found the nearest pile of leaves and rolled around several times right in the middle of it! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Then, I had an Easter surprise of my own that made me forget all about that bath interruption! My mama came to have dinner with me!

This is my Mama (who is still feral but only trusts my human)….

I love my mama!

Now it’s a happy Easter!
